| Nursing services: | The Children’s Surgical Center (CSC) created CASC in 2006 in response
to a growing number of survivors of acid attacks accessing the center
for treatment. As a result of the extensive and unique treatment needs
presented by survivors of acid burns, CSC felt that a separate organization
dedicated to meeting the physical, emotional, social and economic needs
of survivors was necessary to provide comprehensive treatment. |
