The work will entail setting up daily temporary clinics, where community members can meet with a nurse, doctor or social worker around such things as blood pressure screenings, glucose screenings, mental health screenings and general non acute care. Non-acute care can be things such as teaching stress reduction and resilience development, allowing time for expressing and discussing feelings, wound dressing changes, addressing skin rashes, the writing of long term medication prescriptions, by a doctor, that a person has been on but has not been able to get because they have not been able to see a medical provider; along with addressing nutritional or other basic medical needs and health teaching. There is also a potential for home visits for home-bound community members to address general non-acute needs and to assess for need of acute medical attention.
