| Nursing services: | Nurses will perform pregnancy tests, provide educational information
to clients, perform ultrasounds and counsel clients. Her Choice Birmingham
Women’s Center, a pregnancy resource center, located on the Southside
in Birmingham, AL is a non-profit, 501 (C)(3) organization. Our mission
is to help any woman facing an unplanned pregnancy to choose life and
to help and support her with that decision. We help bring healing and
support to women who have had abortions and to provide education regarding
pregnancy options including adoption and healthy lifestyle choices for
all young women. Working at Her Choice provides a wonderful opportunity
to help young women understand their reproductive system as it relates
holistically to her being; it is also presents an opportunity to help
young teens and adults who are in crisis pregnancies or relationships
understand their options and assist them to make healthy choices for
themselves and their children. In addition, there is an opportunity
to bring healing to those women who have experienced the negative effects
of abortion. |
