Nursing services:International Crisis Aid’s purpose is to assist in sustaining life, bring encouragement to those suffering and to assist in facilitating with other relief organizations bringing necessary materials, foods and medicines to people who are in crisis situations where life and death situations exist.  To accomplish this vision we will continue to target our efforts in no-go zones where other organizations cannot or will not go.  Our programs and services have reached out to children and families in need from Cambodia, Ethiopia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, North Korea, Indonesia, Haiti and Sudan.  These programs include feeding, medical, orphanages, disaster relief, girls’ schools, community development, rescuing girls from sex trafficking, etc.  ICA is soon opening Safe Homes in the United States for American victims of sex trafficking.  International Crisis Aid leads groups of nurses, doctors and other volunteers on international medical mission trips several times a year.  We travel to Angacha, Ethiopia to provide services in a village that did not have medical care prior to our arrival.  We have since established a medical clinic and four outposts where we provide care.  Volunteers participate in multiple capacities, including providing first-aid, assisting in surgeries, distributing food, running the pharmacy, etc.  International Crisis Aid was founded on Christian principles and beliefs.  However, we do not discriminate against anyone—including the people we serve and/or potential volunteers.  All applicants should be comfortable participating on teams consisting of church members and other people in ministry.
