The teams provide clinics to villagers, doing assessments and teaching. Home visits are made to the huts of the villagers so that each nurse can immerse themselves in the culture of the people they are serving. The teams provide education to the Careworkers-village volunteers that live and work in the village providing support to vulnerable and orphan children. The teams also provide female health and hygiene education and prenatal education to the female villagers.
Have a valid US or Canadian nursing license, have the ability to work 8-10 hour days, be able to walk several miles, if needed, for home visits, be sensitive to the villagers religion and faith, regardless of the nurse’s religion or beliefs and have a heart to serve the most vulnerable in Africa.
