One World Surgery

Nursing services:

The mission of One World Surgery is to ignite the spirit of service and transform lives by providing access to high-quality surgical care globally. During week-long medical mission trips, physicians, other clinical participants, nonclinical participants, and family members come together to perform life-changing surgeries. We host 1-2 medical missions teams each month, with up to 60 volunteers per team. Currently, all medical missions take place at the Holy Family Surgery Center (HFSC) in Honduras. HFSC currently offers the following specialties: general surgery; orthopedics; gynecology; urology; ophthalmology; and ear, nose, and throat; and surgical oncology. Nurses provide pre-operative, operating room, or post-anesthesia care, depending on their skills and experience.
