My name is Emily and I am a, true to heart, NICU nurse. I have been a nurse for just over 5 years and have been a traveling nurse for the last 2 years. I started my nursing career in Rochester, NY at Strong Memorial Hospital before taking my skills on the road to Boston, NYC, Charlottesville, VA and Orange County, California. I truly have enjoyed the traveling adventure – meeting new people and living in different areas of the US. I was inspired to be a NICU nurse when my younger brother was born at 25 weeks, and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. I love the relationships you form with your patients and their families. My trip to Zambia this past March was my first mission trip and was something I had always wanted to do. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to serve those who do not have easy access to medical care. It was an amazing experience and I hope to be able to go on more mission trips in the future!
