Camp Kesem Central PA

Nursing services:

Camp Kesem Central PA is looking for a nurse to join our summer camp team as a volunteer!
Our chapter, one of 73 Camp Kesem chapters across the United States, offers a free week-long camp for kids affected by their parent’s cancer. Camp is free to attend, and the camp is planned, managed, and staffed by college student volunteers from Penn State University.

Camp will be held from August 14-19th, 2016 at Camp Johnsonburg in Johnsonburg, NJ.

As nurse you will be responsible for dispensing daily medication, as instructed by each camper’s physician, and for addressing any health emergencies that may come up over the course of the week. Nurses will stay at camp for the entire and will stay in a private room separate from the campers. You must hold an RN, LPN/LVN, or be a Nurse Practitioner in the state of New Jersey, or be willing to obtain a temporary license for that state.
Though the nurses main priority is the health and safety of the campers at all times, we welcome our nurses to embrace the spirit of camp by participating in activities whenever possible. We want this to be a fun week for you too!

All potential candidates will undergo a background check and interview process.
