Interfaith Service to Latin America (ISLA)

Nursing services:

ISLA was formed by two faith communities in Minnesota (Minneapolis and Rochester). ISLA teams do not promote any one faith, ISLA respects all faith perspectives.  Women’s Health Program: ISLA collects pap smears and provides follow up treatment on abnormal results.  ISLA also conduct educational training on Women’s Health issues.  RN’s needed to collect pap smears, assist in follow up and conduct education programs.  Mental Health Program:  ISLA provides treatment for people living with mental illness.  ISLA also conducts educational programs for local physicians on Mental Health issues.


Current nursing license, experience in women’s health

Cost:$1.250 plus round trip airfare to Managua, Nicaragua
