Volunteer nurses participate in annual medical-surgical mission trips to Mombin Crochu Hospital in Northeastern Haiti. Nurses provide free healthcare to adults and children in the community. Care includes perioperative nursing for general surgeries, on-site and mobile primary care clinic nursing, education on general health, medications, nutrition, and infection prevention.
Volunteer nurses are required to have current licensure as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS or ACLS certification preferred. Previous experience in med-surg, perioperative or public health nursing preferred. Previous mission or foreign travel nursing preferred.
