Nurses volunteer and raise their own funding for living and work expenses, usually through their church and network of family and friends. These are all positions located outside of the U.S.A. and include opportunity to not only meet the physical needs, but to minister to spiritual needs of clients as well.
The nurses apply through WorldVenture, in cooperation with their home church, and receive training for cross-cultural work and ministry. Terms have one month minimum commitment and can last up to career service. The Black Forest Academy opportunity runs on the school year, so it would be a 10 month minimum commitment, plus an additional training specific to Third Culture Kids, the main population at the school.
The nurses need to have up to date certification for their type of position.
WorldVenture is a missionary sending agency, founded in the Baptist tradition and currently partners with sending churches who hold to similar doctrine.
